Small place with very friendly staff, excellent food, and a quiet atmosphere for conversation with friends. Excellent desserts, including brioche pudding and dark chocolate cake (not sweet).

This is a tiny French place on a short street in Greenwich Village. Our reservation was early (5:15), and it was quiet at first, so my friend and I could converse easily. As the place filled up, the noise level rose, which we regretted. But...More

We were there because it was the only place we could find that could accommodate 7 people for a Saturday Brunch. Turns out they could have accommodated 27 people. There were only 3 other people who came, ate, and left. The food was average. Not...More

This was a highly recommend food stop for us while in New York. It is very intimate, with excellent service. Any pick from the wine list is a winner. The food, unforgettable and delicious. Better than many restaurants I have tried in Paris and we...More

This was the second time we were at this restaurant to celebrate New Year’s Eve. The Village location makes it a welcome alternative to the bustle of Times Square. No big midnight fanfare, just a perfect champagne toast. As on our previous visit, we enjoyed...More

We returned to Le Gigot last night. It was 12 degrees out so it was a quiet night. But that did not prevent the wait staff from being extremely attentive. How do they know the exact right moment to appear at the table? Don’t know...More

My husband and I ate here for dinner on a Saturday night. The place reminded us of Paris, some little restaurant you'd find off an alley in the Bastille district :). It is very small and cozy inside, every table was filled. Service was prompt...More

West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the
West Village is one of the city’s most coveted
addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and
cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture,
this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You
won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan.
Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to
get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you

Serving Provencal cuisine. Purity of ingredients and simplicity of preparation distinguish our specialties. Seasonal dishes are always introduced. A petite zinc bar, banquettes and floral arrangements foster a warm cozy ambiance, and an attentive staff ensures a customers' comfort and satisfaction.
