Authentic Italian spot great for dates and small parties in the Village. The outdoor garden remains open even in the cold weather and makes the experience that much better. The wait staff is friendly and knowledgeable to accompany a great wine list. Highly recommend and often no wait.

On a recent trip to NYC my family was looking for an authentic Italian restaurant. Palma did not disappoint us! It Is definitely worth going out of the way for. Everything is prepared from fresh ingredients, herbs and spices. Our meals were amazing! In February we were seated at a table in the back garden which was a warm and... More

On a food tour of Greenwich Village, that I expected to be cheesy (which was in fact fun and informative) we discovered Cornelia Street and it's many restaurants. Even though we had reservations for dinner at a fancy French Bistro uptown, we canceled and changed our evening dinner plans to Palma. What a great decision! We arrived after the theater... More

This is an incredible restaurant. It Is definitely not the cheapest but my God was it worth it. I went there with my friends and we got sat at a table in the back garden which was all nicely decorated and most importantly WARM! The food was exceptional I had the para with truffle and mushrooms. Portion size was great... More

This is probably one of the best places I have ever eaten at. Starting with the space. Beautiful ambience. Just gorgeous, romantic, beautiful. The staff: LOVED our waiter. The food: amazing. Best lamb chops I have ever had. This is my new favorite place!!

This was an amazing Italian restaurant. The ambiance was great, the food/service was top notch. I got the gnocchi... which was two thumbs up.

A friend and I stumbled upon Palma whilst walking round NYC. From the front, we couldn't see what a lovely place it was and we were very pleasantly surprised. The food was fantastic and we both loved our meals. Service was prompt and the pasta was really good. We have noted this down for a trip next time we are... More

The restaurant is situated in a quite street and is very welcoming. The service was very nice, however the food was below expectations. The sea bass had lots of bones and was very bland. The steak was hard and chewy. Wouldn't recommend this place for a good Italian meal.

We had an early, pre-theater meal here in January 2017. (Tip: avoid the mostly awful restaurants surrounding the midtown theaters and head down this way for dinner; it's a 10 min. subway ride back to the theater district.) Kudos to the restaurant for the food; all of us enjoyed our dishes. None of us were blown away by the originality... More

Stopped in for lunch. Make sure you get seated outside. It's a little cooler but the atmosphere is wonderful. It's an indoor balcony style with fresh cut flowers and vegetation surrounding you with perfect mood music for the location. The food was amazing, with the tiramisu being one of the best my wife and I have had. Fresh mulled drinks... More

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
