In the ambiance of true New York history this restaurant is a special Village-experience. It is certainly not cheap, by all means. But worth the drinks, food and service. Very nice to dine late after shows. Friendly people, great menu.

A fun area; Greenwich Village; of New York. Restaurant in an old building that rather than having a pleasant ambience just feels old and run down. Waited at the bar for our guest. Bartender had trouble remembering our order. A glass of Pinot Grigio and...More

One bite into my $31 Black Label Burger and was greeted with a cool, red center when I ordered medium. Unfortunately they threw the same burger back on the grill instead of doing the decent thing - starting fresh. The BLB completely lost it's "infamous"...More

Regretfully, we had a terrible, terrible experience at Minetta Tavern that involved the restaurant's general manager, Justin Summers, making what appeared to us as quintessentially racist, White Supremacist statements and asking us to leave because we spoke English in a foreign accent. Sounds crazy? Crazy...More

Tucked down a narrow street, the Minetta Tavern doesn’t look like much from the outside. But once you are inside, you can experience a culinary delight and the beef. Don’t just ask me, this place often ends up on food TV shows as a “must...More

This was undoubtedly my best meal on recent six day trip to NYC. Lovely atmosphere, especially towards the back. Great choice on menu and very good wines. Helpful and attentive staff.

This is one of my top-3 restaurants in New York City. The atmosphere is lively, particularly at the bar, which is typical New York. Mostly locals come here since it does not reach out to the touristy crowd. If you like beef, you cannot pass...More

The burger is $33 but is absolutely amazing. The shoestring fries were also delicious. The service was excellent. The atmosphere has that classic steakhouse feel. Make sure to make a reservation as even at 9pm on a Monday night the place was packed

This 1937 tavern can be easy to miss. A corner establishment with a single light above door with no flashy sign to advertise what lies within. (Looking at the photos, there is a sign up above but we didn't see it!) I thought the place...More

Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was
here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter
culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for
its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to
get a feel for this diverse and energetic
neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street
performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the
fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess.
