Went to Alta with another couple on a busy Saturday night. Casual atmosphere. The room was a bit noisy but it had a good buzz to it. The food was amazing. We each decided that we would choose two dishes. And we had 8 different...More

We ate here on a Saturday night. Small plates-Tapas- were excellent and shared by all at the table. Recommend the sangria as the beverage, but the rye Manhattans also were excellent. Service from Holly B.was the best.

Great spot where you almost feel like you are in someone's home. We dined on the top floor with Jeremy and Holly - fun and accommodating! Favorites include fried goat cheese, risotto, lamb meatballs, Brussels sprouts and the shrimp! And get the "candy bar" dessert...More

I live two blocks away. And, just tonight as I dine at the bar, I see they have an excellent “Happy Hour”, prior to 7 PM. Good wines $8. Excellent appetizers and entree. Cheap! Noisy, of course and crowded on a Friday. But the service...More

A formidable gem, hidden away in a city basement in the west village. Great tapas and exciting selection of wine. Great ambiance and reasonable priced, especially between five and seven, when it's wine a clock at the bar!

The food was fantastic and the staff was friendly. The gnocchi and the prime rib was to die for. I strongly recommend this place.

Very tasty tapas, great variety on the menu. A beautiful townhouse, the space is exceptionally noisy. We sat upstairs, which I would recommend for any chance of successful conversation, but the tables are close together and the noise was still a factor. Prices are high...More

Our party of 6 had a very nice dinner at Alta on a Saturday evening in August. Highlights included: lamb meatballs, fried goat cheese with honey, salmon tartare, roasted beets and braised short ribs. A lot of energy when the restaurant is full so a...More

Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was
here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter
culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for
its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to

It's better to make a reservation unless you'd like to come very early, around 6. But it's not a big deal, normally the same day or day before would work.
