We ate at Lupa's on the recommendation of a friend; it is one of Mario Bataly's restaurants in the city. Can't say enough good things about the restaurant. I had chicken with a friend egg on top of it - interesting combo that was superb. Our waiter, Mike, was terrific and very attentive to timing our meal. We had lunch... More

I've always wanted to try one of Mario Batali's restaurants and I'm sooo glad I did! I booked a lunch reservation about a month in advance and when I unexpectedly showed up an hour early for my reservation, they luckily were able to seat my girlfriend and I! We both had the lunch tasting menu- I had the bavetti main... More

The only complaint I had was that my table was not ready for more than 30 minutes after my reservation. But, the food was so good I have gone back many times. Usually I sit at the counter now. Pastas are just terrific and everything is done perfectly. Prices are very fair and there is a great selection of dishes.... More

I used to be a regular here at lunch. This is amazing Italian restaurant for sure one of the best in NYC. Service is Solid, super professional and respectful staff. The price is reasonable to enjoy the good food like this. I love pasta here and I'm Italian myself. I didn't like saltimbocca:) See you again

My husband and I enjoyed our dinner here. We started with a grilled octopus special that was outstanding. We each had a pasta dish that we each enjoyed, then we shared a dessert. We had plenty of food. I was pregnant on this trip, so I had some cautions against some of the cheeses they served and our water was... More

I am happiest in my life when I'm eating and drinking good food and good wine with my family. Such was the case last week when at Lupa. Mario Batali's space deep within New York's Greenwich Village. It's a cozy nest of a place. Tables a little crowded together, maybe a little noisy. I felt part of it. Every one... More

A first time visit for our family of 6 including two children. We we looking for casual Italian restaurant in the Village, one that would be kid friendly. They went through adult portions of pasta, no doubt innately knowing the difference in home made pasta and that from the box. All of the adults followed suit. I had wanted the... More

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighbourhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighbourhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
