From their French wait staff to the escargot and Monday night's coq au vin - it's the real deal. The fish and and vegetables were fresh and tasty. My only disappointment was the creme brûlée was cold ( as in pre-made and then refrigerated)

We had dinner here on a recent visit to NYC. My husband enjoyed the duck breast while I loved the artichoke vinaigrette. My dinner entree was Dorado--or Mahi-Mahi. Very nice, though not outstanding. Servings are quite generous and the wait staff very pleasant and helpful. The ambiance is casual and cheerful; noise level was moderate so that one can actually... More

Promenading out from Easter Mass in unusual NYC Spring heat, I could almost taste my upcoming meal at LA MIRABELLE---and I will tell you, it was the perfect EASTER LUNCH. Even listening to the magnificent Widor 5th offered as the organ postlude, I could taste my favorite Poulet dish at LA MIRABELLE, roasted with so much rosemary & garlic it... More

Party of 12 cramped around 2 tables put together. Took forever to get our appetizers, and when we did, they were short 1 onion soup. When we were just about done with the apps, said something to the manager (maybe owner), he looked surprised that this had happened, soup came at this same time, no "i'm sorry or anything. The... Had brunch with an old friend at this restaurant. The food -- eggs benedict with smoked salmon instead of ham -- including a salad side -- was very good. The service was instantly available when we needed them but otherwise we were able to catch up with a long chat without being disturbed. The atmosphere is very pleasant, although like... More

A romantic neighborhood boîte it's not. Average age of diner 85. Average age of vegetables, frozen since 1985. Sole Meuniere soggy. Goat cheese salad, the cheese was fine. Sancerre a good deal. Mussels a bit dated but not bad. So. No. We'll not be back.

My wife and I had a lovely New Year's eve dinner here, being only a block away from where we live. It's a charming, rectangular restaurant with a small upstairs. We shared the escargot, oysters, duck and red snapper. All were delicious and flavorful. We finished with the apricot tart and were quite full and satisfied. We brought our own... More

The coq au vin was pretty good but it took forever to come, even considering some of my party had an appetizer first. Mussels were acceptable but no more. The best thing about the service was the woman charged with refilling water glasses ... very efficient. Prices were very full. Strangely decorated with simple oil paintings ... the overall appearance of... More

My wife and I have been to Mirabelle on numerous occasions. Although it gets a bit crowded on Saturday nights due to a very narrow entrance area, the service and food are always very good (the escargot is especially good, as is the bread). The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Sometimes one of the waitresses sings beautifully in French (it... More

La Mirabelle is an excellent neighborhood French bistro on the west side of Manhattan. They offer many traditional French dishes and classics such as roast duck, rack of lamb, cote de boeuf, and escargot. Good wine list and friendly professional service. Charming atmosphere reminds me of a bistro in Paris. I strongly recommend this restaurant for a high quality meal... More
