Took four guests to the restaurant. Service, food, everything was fabulous. Interesting integration of flavors, perfect service and they even gave one guest a small soup since we all ordered appetizers and she didn't. The fish, soup, beef, everything was delicious. The dessert was outstanding. Service is impeccable. You are taken care of every minute without being intrusive. We thoroughly... More

We had a fabulous thanksgiving dinner. Even though the restaurant was filled to capacity the service was excellent. Expensive but worth the price.

When we couldn't get into Daniel's we went to Cafe Boulud. Same fine dining, creative style. Impeccable service. Incredibly expensive! Just a cafe atmosphere where seating is much more crowded. It's nice for a splurge.

Had dinner one night, breakfast twice. Service, food, and atmosphere were amazing. The dinner was fantastic. Sea scallops with a pistachio crumb crust- wow. Dessert was amazing. I just wish I could remember the names of them. One had a raspberry sorbet. The breakfast was excellent with the best eggs and greens I have ever had. Highly recommend!

Outstanding meals and service in a packed room with tables very close together. My son and I were fortunate in that the table next to us finished shortly after we arrived, so that gave us a little extra space and better ability to hear one another. Peekytoe crab salad and a salmon appetizer were superb. Saddle of lamb and duck... More

We wanted to treat ourselves after a visit at the MET and this was a great choice for lunch. We had the two course set menu for $39 dollars. The mushroom soup was out if this world and the bussels sprout salad was decent. Our main both delicious, the hanger steak and the granzino. Leave room for obligatory madelaines. Staff... More

From the moment we arrived at the café, we felt rushed. Hurried to order drinks, hurried to order the main course, hurried to decide on dessert and pay the bill. It's clear that many people love this restaurant, as it was packed at 9:00 PM with a significant waiting line. I don't get it. The pork chop was tough and... More

Fixed menu lunch at this Michelin star restaurant was a treat form the pate to the madelines at the end of the meal. This place is not for the frugal diner but a sophisticated palate will have a great experience .

We had high expectations about our lunch at Cafe Boulud for their set lunch. The tables are very close together with Banquette seating and we were drawn into conversation with the couple next to us who were celebrating their fourth wedding anniversary. As this was the Upper East Side the husband's present was from Van Cleef and Arpels. This excitement... More

Description
CAFÉ BOULUD features a French-American menu inspired by Chef Daniel Boulud's four culinary muses: la tradition, classic French cuisine; la saison, seasonal delicacies; le potager, the vegetable garden; and le voyage, the flavors of world cuisines. In addition to dinner seven nights, we feature a $37 two-course prix-fixe lunch six days a week, and brunch on Sundays. The restaurant is both a neighborhood gem and a destination for food lovers in search of casually elegant dining. Two private dining rooms seating 18 guest each are available for your private entertaining needs, and may be combined to accommodate 40. The restaurant's adjacent BAR PLEIADES serves inventive cocktails and a luxurious bar menu from 3 pm onwards. DANIEL • DB Bistro Moderne •Boulud Sud• Bar Boulud • DBGB Kitchen & Bar

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
