Three of us had dinner at Maya on a Thursday evening. The atmosphere was great with a young and vibrant crowd (some may call this place “noisy” but I prefer “energetic”). The cocktails and the guacamole are great reasons to come here but we were...More

Brunch is great at Maya but your two hour max time slot will have you looking for your waitress who takes her time with the bottomless drinks and food. Food is wonderful but it comes out in spirts. With our group of 14 we were...More

I like to try new places and find the lower avenues on the Upper East side have some cool places. I would consider Maya a place to seek out. The guacamole with bacon was fantastic, I would recommend the Chile Relleno and the slow roasted...More

I came with a group of 6 for the bottomless brunch. Surprisingly the place looked pretty empty the time we were there. Our waiter was great, he topped up our drinks just about every time we took more than 2 sips. The food also kept...More

Maya is a good place for dinner, but great for happy hour. Food is good, drinks are excellent, staff is pretty friendly. It can get a bit warm inside the restaurant during the summer though.

We didn’t book anything in advance for last night so looked on open table. We arrived at 9.45 and they accommodated us nicely. Food was excellent. The fresh tortilla chips were the highlight and it was reasonably priced. Can imagine that on a weekend it...More

Description
Carefully crafted, yet bold flavored. Rooted in tradition, yet adventuring into contemporary tastes. Chef Richard Sandoval blends the earthy yet complex flavors of his native Mexico with worldly ingredients and creative cooking techniques to create the modern Mexican cuisine at Maya. Our hospitality is warm and Latin. We welcome you to linger over drinks, rediscover Mexican classics – fresh guacamole, tacos with fresh-made tortillas and authentic fillings – and savor the Chef’s signature dishes. Maya's Tequila Bar is inspired by neighborhood Tequilerias in Mexico, where lively conversation is shared over bottles and small plates. Sip our collection of spirits slowly as the locals would, or drink them in our hand-muddled cocktails. Salud y buen provecho!
