Great atmosphere, cozy, great menu and wine list. You will be a little cramped if it's busy, but no more so than at most intimate NYC venues. Great pasta and salads. Hard to go wrong.

After visiting this spot once while walking down 2nd avenue, I've started going regularly. Really good sangria and a nice variety as well. Also outdoor seating makes it a great place to people watch. I can't speak much on food as I've only eaten here once for a snack (Margherita Pizza) which was decent, but definitely a cozy spot for... More

The food at Vero is top notch. My husband had the meatball Panini and is still raving about it. I had the gourmet pizza with an egg on top and it blew my mind. Think I ate every bite. The drinks are strong. We chose the bottomless drink option, which was an amazing deal, but the drinks are so big... More

This place is basically the definition of a date spot. I went inside to get a glass of wine and sat among a crowded bar. Decided to look at a menu and ordered a turkey panini and the tuna tartare. The panina was good, the tartare was OUSTANDING although a bit pricey. In this case you definitely get what you... More

We stopped in for drinks one Saturday evening. It was relatively busy, with good music playing and a lively bunch of people. Good bar staff, nice crowd. We didn't eat but noticed some tapas at other tables, which made us consider it for next time.

Great wine and nibbles, Vero is a great spot to grab a glass after work to catch up with friends. Food is great and a relaxed vibe. Does get noisy later in the evening.

Went to Vero on a Thursday night w/ a few friends for drinks and some appetizers. The place was busy but by no means crazy packed. Nevertheless it was like pulling teeth to get our waitress to pay any attention to us. We lwaited so long just to place a drink order that we were about to walk out. Then... More

We had a great brunch with some friends on Sunday at Vero. We recommend the white Sangria and the lobster BLT. Their old bay fries are also very good. The service was great. The waitress we had helped navigating through the menu and gave us great advise. We will definitely be back

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
