The wood rich marine interior is very well executed and makes you feel dining in a luxury boat. The Chablis by the glass has just the right acidity to remain fresh while exhibiting an elegant and rather long finish. The prawn cocktail is made of 4 freshly cooked prawns with a mayonnaise and a cocktail sauce: it is simple but... More

We had a wonderful meal at Lure - booked for 8pm on a Thursday in January and the place was buzzing - seated after a few moments wait at the busy bar and the menu was amazing - found it hard to choose. The shrimp starter was fantastic - and I had the sushi selection - a really huge plate... More

There are so many wonderful restaurants in NYC to choose from, but when I think of my favorite Lure always comes to mind. My fiancé and I have dined at Lure for the past few Valentine's Days and are never disappointed. The bar is stunning so a drink there first is a must. The service is friendly, knowledgeable and I... After wandering around Soho, Lure was an unplanned and unexpected surprise! Our large group sat at the Sushi Bar and thoroughly enjoyed our prompt service, delicious sushi rolls, and the fun, social atmosphere! We all agreed we have never had such fabulous sushi. The fish was fresh, the menu was diverse, and the staff all quite accommodating. Highly recommend this... More

The dining room looks like a fine wooden yacht, though we sat in a quieter side area resembling a captains dining room. The bar and main dining room are lively, but the side room is much quieter for table conversation (versus people watching). We enjoyed a great bottle of wine from Napa Valley, which was well priced. For restaurant week,... More

The room looks like a transatlantic. It could be a kitsch experience, but it´s not. The drink bar, the row bar, the wooden walls and floors, the lights, and the windows, everything is beautiful and funny. And there is enough space between the tables. The food deserves a paragraph. Tender seafood, exquisite fishes, and very careful elaboration. Original and tasty... More

This place looks like the inners of a wooden ship. Very cool bar! Would def pop back in! We just had drinks but the food looked great. Nice staff! Very generous wine pours.

We love Lure. This is the 3rd time we have gone during restaurant week. We are always treated so courteously by the whole staff we encounter.., including attention to our open table requests. (not always the case with open table at other restaurants which are usually simple table location requests) The R.W. week menu always pleases us, and there are... More

Staying in SoHo

Neighbourhood Profile
SoHo
Once the artistic hub of New York City, SoHo (South of Houston) is now one of the premiere shopping destinations in the world. Housing everything from the most popular luxury brands to swank boutiques you won’t find anywhere else, this is a sophisticated shopper’s dream come true. Broadway teems with big-name stores and people during the day, while Prince and Spring Streets are the other main drags to explore by foot. Take a detour down the quieter side streets to see the real star of the district –majestic cast-iron architecture everywhere you look. What were once warehouses and art studios are now meticulously restored loft buildings favored by many of New York’s celebrities, making SoHo one of the trendiest addresses in the city. The pretty streets of Nolita (North of Little Italy) offer a more sedate vibe, with plenty of tiny boutiques and hip restaurants to seek out.
