The decor, the atmosphere, the food--everything about the restaurant is special. The staff is totally focused on making for a great customer experience. This was by far the best dinner we had in a week of restaurant meals in New York City.

The dinner and wine pairing was simply nothing short of exceptional. The service was impeccable. This is worth the wait and the price. Will return every time I am in town.

The food was especially good on the tasting menu this visit. I have been about 5 times and I am never disappointed. The wine list is superb with unusual and interesting choices. The champagne selection is first rate. Probably the best servers of any restaurant.

We continue to return to Gramercy Tavern every time we come to New York City. By far in my opinion the best restaurant in the city. Michael Anthony, Executive Chief, does a fantastic job offering a diverse menu of delicious entrees'. It doesn't matter what...More

One of America’s most beloved restaurants, Gramercy Tavern has welcomed guests for close to two decades to enjoy seasonal American cuisine, warm hospitality and unparalleled service. The restaurant is perennially ranked at the top of Zagat Survey’s ‘Most Popular’ list, and has garnered eight James Beard Awards including ‘Outstanding Restaurant’ and ‘Best Chef: NYC’. Chef Michael Anthony’s highly seasonal menu consists of elegant dishes with a rustic influence that showcase the restaurant’s relationships with local farms and purveyors. The Main Dining Room serves prix-fixe menus starting at $92 for dinner and an a la carte menu for lunch, and accepts reservations 28 days in advance. The more casual Tavern serves an a la carte menu centered around the wood burning grill, and welcomes guests on a walk-in basis. The restaurant also features an acclaimed wine list, and thoughtfully selected beer and cocktail offerings.
