After reading on-line reviews and the mention in Lonely Planet USA we were certainly expecting something better. The soup my husband had and the starter plate I ordered were nice, however the main courses left us underwhelmed to say the least. I asked whether the...More

My kale salad was delicious and I loved the vegan feta chunks. My husband had a rice and veggie bowl and was just ok, maybe they could have recommended a better sauce, they have many. The service was slow and we would have ordered more,...More

Vegan cuisine has really evolved in the last decade and there are so many great vegan restaurants in the Village and in New York City that are really doing amazing things with vegan cuisine so don't understand how this place can stay in business. The...More

Two stars because it's vegan, and the servers were nice, but that's all. The cuisine is unoriginal, flavorless, and boring. We are a family of vegans/vegetarians and NYC has such a wealth of innovative vegan restaurants, we're still mad we wasted a meal here. Their...More

My wife and I went back to our old favorite. We have been going to this restaurant for over 25 years. It is still comfortable, good service, and interesting food. I highly recommend this place to eat with friends and just with a favorite person.

I was very excited to go to this place because some friends recommended it. However, the service was terrible. I called before two times and the hostess said that in 30 min they would have place. I moved from Brooklyn to East Village with my...More

I've been here last time I was in New York. Due to being dairy allergic it is lovely to come here and have such a varied menu and so many choices. Enjoyed the food as usual. Staff were friendly, despite this I don't think I'd...More

East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village,
which offers plenty of unique small businesses
catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college
students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the
old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still
