I am originally from Indonesia and I am pretty happy with the food here, the owner is pretty nice. We order some bakso and satay ayam for the first visit and was amaze with the outcome. The second time we went we order rijtaffel which kinda okay... the only down fall about this place is no happy hour.

We stopped here as part of a Hell's Kitchen Tour - the food was amazing, and I will go back to try more. Make sure to try the Peanut Sauce

II love Bali and was very excited to find this restaurant a block from my hotel. I went again the next night to try as many items as possible ordering the Rijsttafel Specials. The music and art are delightful. The staff was very friendly. Next time that I am in NYC, I will be back.

The food is part Indonesian part American. So Americans will like it more. My wife and I love real Indonesian food so we knew the difference. It was good food super friendly staff. It seems kinda expensive for Indonesian food. My favorite part of the meal was the fried banana with ice cream. It's seems like the best Indonesian food... More

A bit pricey I thought but the food was excellent. I used to live in Java for a couple of years and this meal was memorable.

The last time I enjoyed Indonesian food was in Amsterdam in 2001, so I was so happy to find this restaurant with positive reviews on Trip Advisor. As a group of six, we arrived for an early dinner after a matinee, and we were treated with excellent attentive service. Three of us ordered the rijsttafel which was very reasonably priced... More

This is not the most romantic restaurant, nor is it the best Indonesian restaurant. But it does the job pretty well and it's the only one in town that I'm aware off. Enjoy!

I've brought all kinds of people here who have never tasted Indonesian food (and could probably no even find Indonesia on a map) and every time they all give this place rave reviews. The variety of dishes on hand, the lovely presentation, and the kind and efficient service are all worth coming here for. If you are sampling Indonesian food... More

Haven't eaten hear 3 or four times over a 10 year period. Each time the food has been exceptionally good, tremendous variety of dishes, and the prices are very reasonable. Service is very efficient, so going pre-theater is ideal. Would enjoy coming back not before theater and having one of the risjtaffel multi-course meals on a more leisurely basis.

My partner and I were looking for somewhere to eat on New Years Day and this place was great! They were able to seat us immediately and while they didn't have a huge selection for coeliacs, my partner was able to get himself a lovely, warming curry. I thoroughly enjoyed my vegetarian Nasi Goreng and to top it off- the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
