My wife and I stayed at the Sofitel while visiting and NY and Gaby's was the path of least resistance on our first morning in the city. I am so glad that we sat down and ate there. The food and service was first rate. The egg white omelette was fantastic with roasted red peppers and delicious fresh ingredients. The... More

As I was walking to meet a friend at their hotel, I happened to see the menu for Gaby "Restaurant Francaise", located in the Sofitel hotel just a few doors from where my friend was staying. Having seen the menu, I knew that this would be a good choice to treat my friend. And, it was just that. A typical... More

We stopped here on the way to a matinee on Saturday for a quick bite. The servers and hostess could not have been nicer. We had a lovely French brunch - croquet madame and a hamburger on brioche both with frites and unlimited mimosas. We were reminded of Paris and the server was very sweet in responding to our attempts... More

They had a most delightful cod on the menu they day I dined and so well seasoned and prepared to my tastes. The dining is part of the Sofitel French experience with a NYC flare of course. This is right in the heart of the Times Square area and on a wonderful block for access to just about everything in... More

If you're meeting with colleagues or friends, it's often a challenge to find a place with good food, a pleasant atmosphere and reasonable prices. Gaby Brasserie Francaise was just what we needed. Once a group of professional colleagues needed a handy place for lunch where we could eat and talk and conduct a mini 'production meeting' at the same time.... More

We have been to a great many hotel restaurants, usually with the idea of convenience, not necessarily quality, but Gaby Brasserie Francaise was a delightful surprise. Our first meal was after a long day playing tourists and, with two children in the party, we were too tired to leave the hotel for a meal. So, we trudged through the lovely... More

We stayed at the Sofitel and on our way out of town decided to go to Gaby for brunch. What a wonderful little restaurant! The french atmosphere and cuisine were amazing. Flaky, buttery croissants, great coffee, and I never knew Eggs Benedict could taste so good. My husband got the Belgian waffles and they were seriously To-Die-For. Expect to spend... More

We had breakfast at Gaby twice and celebrated New Year's Eve dinner there. On New Year's Eve we had Brian as a server. He was so attentive as was the rest of the staff. All of our meals were prepared to perfection and food allergies were accommodated. The managers both in the AM and PM were very attentive, stopping by... More

Last diner of 2016, we had the pleasure to be welcome by Gaby's team at 6:30 for the new eve diner that was delicious. Leo was with us for the whole diner and he was really nice, warm and all his team was nice and efficient. Thank you for making our visit fabulous! Nathalie & Robin

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
