Popular diner with singing waiters and waitresses (aspiring artists or already on Broadway musicals). It's worth going there because of them, food is really just average at the most.

Such a fun place to go for dinner! All the waiters are Broadway hopefuls and you are serenaded with hits from all ages and fun karaokes as you enjoy your traditional American diner experience! Perfect for anybody especially families and couples! They have special holiday performances and themes as well! Beware you will want to reserve in advance as there... More

A friend and I went to Ellen's diner during our stay in New York and I would highly recommend it! The food was good, a little pricey but if you think that you're paying towards the entertainment then it is completely worth it. The staff were amazing and loads of fun and the singing was incredible! Definitely worth a visit... More

The experience itself was great, but the food was way to expensive, especially because it was not the best. I only ate about a quarter of my mac &a cheese, and when you pay $16 for that, you wish you could just eat the hole bowl, but I couldn't, because I didn't enjoy it. Either of my friends could finish... More

We heard a lot about the Stardust Diner and it did not disappoint at all for my husband, myself, our 6 year old daughter and 5 year old niece. This was a first time visit for the kids to NYC and we were told this was a great spot for the whole family. The waitstaff sing and entertain as you... More

We had heard about this diner from friends and were so glad we went! Firstly, you're gonna queue to get in. We went at 5pm and only had to wait around 10 minutes for a table but by 6pm the queues were around the corner. The food is fine - standard diner fare - but it's the entertainment and atmosphere... My wife and I visited here after many a recommendation and we were very happy they weren't wrong. The food is good and good portion sizes. The service is quick considering that all the waiters and waitresses are at some point performing. Which brings me neatly to that, the performances. Every one that performed did it amazingly and with real... More

On Tuesday 14th Feb, myself and 5 other friends visited the diner. To our surprise we were hurried to order our food and had straws THROWN down on the table with our drinks. Whilst we were eating our food, the singers (in particular the man with no hair and glasses) repeatedly shouted 'GET OUT' on the microphone and asking us... More

When you talk about the most ridiculously overpriced food and the most annoying and rude staff, this place fits the bill. On our trip to NYC me and 7 friends visited this restaurant. Our first impressions were disappointing as there's a huge hole in the plastic door and the place looks a bit run-down. The 'professional' singers couldn't sing and... More

We queued for about 20 minutes which was ok, the prices are reasonable and the service was great. The singers are amazing and it is a must do thing in New York if you love Broadway.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
