On the way to check in to my hotel over on restaurant row, I passed by this French restaurant, and since it was Bastille Day, I thought it might be a good idea to stop in. I already had dinner reservations later that night, but...More

Had a nice dinner in s bistro French setting on 46 th Street near the theater area. The escargot wine wine butter and garlic was very tasty and the trout with mashed potatoes, string beans and sliced almonds was just enough. I will definitely return...More

Le Rivage is a good spot for pre-theater dinner, but only if convenience is more important than ambiance. In short, although the food is good, the restaurant is too crowded, with some tables less than two feet apart. It is also very noisy due to...More

This was our first visit--we chose lunch on Thursday, knowing we would avoid the Wednesday pre-theater matinee madness. Good choice. The restaurant was calm and we received excellent attention and service, which was warm and friendly. The $27 three-course lunch can't be beat. I had...More

We are not aficionados of French cuisine, because it usually has more rich and creamy content . We are therefore not experts in the field. Given that we had a great meal A block or so fro broadway theaters it is well located. They offer...More

One of the best meals we had in New York City. Service was also great, but that may have been our friendly server.

We've been to Le Rivage many times, always pre-theatre. And we order from the prix fixe menu, which has always been excellent. Is it the fanciest meal in NYC? Not by a long shot. But always very good...always good value... More
