Had a great meal here on a business trip. We ordered several appetizers to pass around, dinner dish and dessert. Service was great despite the large crowd in the restaurant. I had penne and meatballs which was good. The salads. Calamari and meat/cheese appetizers were delicious. Everything tasted fresh. The desserts were good and the ambience was great...lively, loud and... More

Three of us dined and we all agreed that everything was perfect. The high ceilings do make it a bit noisy, but that was a minor issue. The food and service were wonderful.

We all fancied a pizza, looked at the menu and a man eating outside said, "don't bother looking, just come in, the food's great" - so we did. Certainly not the cheapest pizza we've had, but there was plenty to choose from on the menu.. this is a really nice restaurant. We got olives, a selection of breads and oil... More

Noisy and busy place with good pizzas. The other food, like the veal or the beef are okay but lin our opinion acking inspiration. Friendly and swift staff. The prices are too steep for this kind of a place. Nevertheless a nice experience.

We were in NYC as a family with 2 teenagers. Our hotel was near this restaurant so we decided to give it a try. My husband used Trip advisor to get a feel if we needed to book. Suggested not. We turned up about 645pm and was not made welcome at all. We asked for a table and the frosty... More

We were in NYC for the weekend. We wanted Italian food and needed to catch a subway at grand central station. I found osteria laguna a very short walk from grand central station. My wife had the baked Banzini fish. It was very good. I had a pasta dish with a few different cheeses. It was delicious! We had a... More

Walked in on a Tuesday evening around 6:30 with no reservation. The manager greeted us and said he could make a spot for us in about 15 minutes. 5 minutes later, we were seated and wait staff had checked in with us. Fresh pasta made on premise, salmon on a bead of wilted spinach and roasted potatoes was excellent! This... More

Lovely place to go and the food was fantastic but the service was good except they start clearing any empty plate away before the whole table had finished. My poor husband was last, all other plates had been taken and his got removed as he took his last mouthful with no chance to dip his bread in the sauce left.... More

I got off the plane and checked into the Westin. Directly opposite was Osteria Laguna. I walked over around 10.30 pm and it was fantastic. Nice welcome Great atmosphere, I went comfort food and had a porcini risotto for a main. It was just about the best risotto I have ever had. Good bread served with really good olive oil.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
