We visited the restaurant on a late night in April. Despite the kitchen was almost closing we received top service from an Albanian waiter who gave us very good tips on what to order based on the fact that 2 out of 4 of our group were women. Salads were OK, but porterhouse house was fantastic. It's not cheap but... More

Expensive steak house, noisy, food ok but not really memorable. Medium rare filet was well done on one side and almost raw on the other. Sides were fine, but boring. Service ok, nothing that would make you feel warm about the place.

Enjoyed a business lunch at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse Restaurant at Park Avenue Arrived 1:15 pm without reservation—my oversight. While restaurant was full, was promptly seated in 5 mins in a full restaurant Promptly served basket of onion and Italian breads to start, along with table waters. Drink order taken while waiting for our guest to arrive. Enjoyed tasty and generous house... More

Started with the Seafood platter which was very fresh and good. Followed by an excellent Porterhouse steak cooked to perfection accompanied with cream spinach and house fries with lovely wine and finished the delightful meal with their famous Pecan Pie culminating in a fantastic dinner. Service was excellent and very attentive and friendly. Will certainly return.

Great thick Canadian bacon appetizer, excellent prime ribeye and creamed spinach with attentive service. A truly fine dining experience in busy Midtown Manhattan.

We recently visited the Park Avenue Wolfgang's with friends who had heard us raving about the porterhouse here, and they weren't disappointed. The setting is unique, the beautifully tiled dining room of the old Vanderbilt Hotel, and the bar is inviting. The porterhouse steak (checking in at $199 for 4 people) is excellent (although the portions seem a bit smaller... More

You come here for the steak, so the rest are side dishes, literally...creamed spinach was OK, entrees were decent and desert (apple pie) was good. The porterhouse steak had all the potential a prime cut like that can have, but the fact it is served swimming in hot butter sauce was a bit much…

We got there in mid afternoon. The place was pretty empty. I wanted a burger, but there was only a "chopped steak," i.e. a burger without the bun. The meat was good (I'd give it a B), but the charge was about $27 for an absolutely naked burger. My wife had a Caesar salad, which she liked. The all-male wait... More

If you fancy a good hearty Steak then Wolfgang's is definitely the place to go, not cheap, but excellent quality mea. Sides just as good,, spinach and German potatoes (sort of a sauté) complimented the main event. Service was pleasant, and relaxing ambience. I will be going back, in fact can't wait.

I was entertained here at a business dinner - and heard a lot about the quality of the steaks on my way to the restaurant. My hosts were not exaggerating - this was possibly the best steak that I have ever eaten. Perfectly prepared and well served. We just had enough room for an apple-based desert, this being apple season... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
