Great breakfast in NY! The place is very cosy and old style. Waitresses are nice and kind. You feel so good in there. Cappuccino is made well. Pancakes are served with butter and seasonal fruits. The granola is also good. You must go there! Be...More

Food and service were pretty good, but probably not worth a 30 minute plus wait. Our waffles came out at room temperature and the waitress could have definitely been more attentive.

Went here for a meal, good starters, however the main meal was just ok. May be it was our choices....burger. Average prices and big portions. Also one thing I did not like is the waitress circled the suggested tip on the receipt. Everyone knows tips...More

At 11:00 AM on a Saturday, we went for brunch. We had an hour wait. There’s a pot of coffee for all patrons waiting in line. A nice touch. When they seated us at noon, there was a 2 hour wait! It’s a bit noisy...More

Looked for a good place to eat that was something different. Found Penelope. Reviews were good and food photos looked great. Sat down and ordered and two of their main items (chicken pot pie and brussel sprouts) were not available. One they ran out of...More

I’m really sorry this was your experience. None of this was okay and we’re going to get to the bottom of how and why that was your experience immediately. I hope you’ll give us another chance one day and thank you for taking the time...More

This was a surprisingly nice breakfast place. We loved it! It’s tiny and crowded but the atmosphere was lovely with the old fashioned 40/50ties interior. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The coffee was strong and good! There was a good variety of dishes....More

We are a family of four that had breakfast at Penelope's a few days ago. The room itself is small and cramped but that just lends itself more to making the restaurant even more charming. We ordered the eggs and ham, french toast, and pancakes....More

We were looking for a Sunday brunch location in this area of town. The reviews warned us there may be a wait, and there was, but the prices and the quality/flavor of the food makes that understandable. We popped in around 10am, put our name...More

Really packed at mornings. Very sweet and cozy ambient. Evrything looks and tastes like homemade. But be cautious about the portions' size. They're huge! If you bringing your kids the word is "share". My favourites picks were the bowl of seasonal fruits and yogurt +...More

We were a bit out of sync arriving in New York the day before so arrived at Penelope’s just after after opening. Lovely breakfast and possibly the nearer thing you’ll find to British cuppa tea in the US was lush. Great start to our busy...More

I do, but I’m not sure if Penelope’s does. You can inquire, by calling them. Hopefully they’ll accommodate you, or ask for an alternative menu item. Good luck.

Yes you can make reservations, however, though they get busy, it's probably not necessary. Enjoy your experience!

Hi! Sorry for the delay. Virtually all of our breakfast options (other than the pancakes, waffles, and possibly french toast) can be made gluten free. We have a phenomenal gluten free bread we can use to swap out for any of... More
