The guacamole made at the table is absolutely amazing and very generous portions. In fact the 2 of us could probably have stopped eating right there! Having said that main courses were also delicious. And there's a great buzz about the place.

Yes, yes. Rosa Mexicano does tableside prepared guacamole like whoa. They take requests. Spicy? Or nah? Whatever you want. We didn't even bother this time around. Dinner on a JAM PACKED Wednesday evening was still great. A whole Last Supper table (13 across one side)...More

Love the upbeat atmosphere. Large bar area with table seating. The pomegranate margaritas and mojitos are excellent. Go for the guacamole made table side. You'll only need to share an entree or get an appetizer after you enjoy the guacamole and chips Entrees are expensive...More

The guacamole is ( the only ?) well worth it . They made the guacamole on the spot in front of us in a very original way. We had also tortillas with steak and shrimps - good taste but nothing special. The service and the...More

Good food, but average and overpriced for NYC. Try a more authentic (non-chain) spot like Empellon, Black Ant, or Rio Grande if you love Mexican!

Even if you only come here for the guacamole it's well worth it! Visited twice in our week long trip to NYC. Best guac ever and I'm fussy! Only thing was on one visit we asked for it hot and there wasn't enough chilli -...More

The guac is as good as it gets, but that's only the beginning. Many food choices, good to excellent. This evening, after guac, my wife and I had the first-rate shrimp and wonderful pork shank with a pitcher of good sangria, while our daughter was...More

Great food great service. I was shocked at the service I was given. As you walk in you feel like you are in a mother country. Amazing avocado. Drinks are phenomenal (but keep in mind-don't drink and drive) as the drinks are pretty strong.! It's...More

This place has a great vibe, as expected of Flatiron restaurants. There is good competition in the neighborhood buy I think every other place works too hard to make their menu trendy..and expensive with small portions. Not Rosa's. It's now my fave Mexican in neighborhood...More

Flatiron District
Offering many of city’s best restaurants and shops set
amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron

Just blocks away from Manhattan's lively Union Square, our third New York location provides a warm and vibrant setting for our award-winning authentic Mexican cuisine. Designed by David Rockwell and launched in October 2005, this stunning restaurant features architectural accents inspired by the late, famed Mexican architect, Luis Barragan. The internally illuminated electric-blue tiled water wall features cliff diver figurines and candles among the cascading water to separate the bar from the main dining room. Warm terracotta and yellow colors with hot pink accents are featured throughout the restaurant as well as traditional, one-of-a-kind Mexican crafts, fabrics and artwork. This combination creates the perfect backdrop for the festive atmosphere and innovative Mexican cuisine of Rosa Mexicano.
