This is a 'Wow' sort of counter... the one that you dream of when thinking of a 'Bakery Counter' and this one measures up! We stopped in for a coffee and a gelato (not a great combination, but hey, we were in Little Italy!) Excellent selection and very friendly wait staff and counter people. Colorful, fun, and lively. Great place... More

After a Broadway show, we wanted dessert. The place to go- Ferrara's. The number of choices is incredible. We were too late for table service SO we got a selection of pastries and cheesecake and sat outside on benches. The lemon tart was the favorite small treat and the cheesecake was so creamy and delicious. This is the best place... More

The pastries are beyond but the coffee is actually in another universe. Not sure what they do to it... but it really is the best in NY

We visited this fantastic trattoria which serves lots of delicious and tasty-looking cakes and deserts. We will recommend the Nutella Pizza, Limonade as well as the Steak & Eggs which were very good. The place oozes traditions of the best kind and is definitely a visit worth if you are nearby or in Little Italy.

Stumbled upon an old favorite! This place has changed so much since I first visited but it is still really good. The desserts are still amazing, definitely worth a visit!

Ferrara's is a Little Italy staple. Yummy cookies, cakes, gelato, and cannoli served by an attentive, experienced wait staff. All the employees we spoke worth were friendly and accommodating. Desserts were yummy and atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing. A great break from seeing the sites.

We are waiting for our breakfast more than 30 minutes and still waiting. Terrible service!!!! The food was ok but nothing more. It doesn't worth it, find another place for brunch.

This cafe is a great place for getting delicious Italian desserts and foods. I only went for a snack while adventuring, however the dessert that I had was perfect! Make sure you get the cappuccino!!

A must stop a grab something delicious in your visit to the big Apple. Once you are in little Italy have lunch in any of the great restaurants by Mulberry st and then have dessert at Ferrara, or just grab and go.Thanks to Alex our server ci vediamo and complimenti

Staying in Little Italy

Neighbourhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
