It was good for a change. If you like pretzels, you are really in the correct place. I had the duck, and they sure know how to roast it. Excellent

I stopped for lunch at Heidelberg Restaurant today -- home of dirndls and lederhosen and all kinds of German/American decorations. Service was fast and very pleasant, but I worried a bit about cleanliness; the place is definitely showing its age. I tried a sampling of...More

Great pork dinner! Crispy, delicious skin and moist inside. My son had the kassler. Very good as well. The boiled potato could be fresher. The sauerkraut was good. The apple strudel was tasty. Nice experience.

After being told that there was a waiting time of 20-30 minutes we dutifully stood to the side and awaited our table. The host however had an elaborate waiting list that seemed to involve heavily penalizing anyone who's face she did not like, on this...More

You absolutely cannot go wrong at the Heidelberg. It's a slice of Bavaria. Not a beer aficionado, but there were plenty there who were enjoying the selections. The food can't be out done anywhere. The Jaeger Schnitzel was even better than 15 years ago, potato...More

Family visit to NYC enjoyed 5 different German beer types and all tasted great - no complaints for those of us lucky to have lived there. 3 sizes too so you can pace yourself. Food prices a little high but portions nice. Four of us...More
