We were meeting a friend for lunch and he lives in NYC so he picked the Red Cat which was near our hotel. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. We enjoyed the table near the window and I enjoyed the shrimp taco, our friend had the burger and my wife had the salad. She said the salad was average but the... More

Manhattan has a lot of fabulous restaurants but this is absolutely one of my favorites. First off the whole vibe of the restaurant is warm and welcoming. The space is small but comfortable. The drinks are always spot on and the food is fantastic. I find it to be one of those restaurants to can always rely on for a... More

I have been here for dinner a few times, consistently great food and service. This visit I had brunch which was equally delicious. Comfortable yet upscale dining experience. Reservations suggested.

We were a party of six for dinner. Service was excellent including the Manager, waitstaff, servers and busboys. Food was pretty good but I think the appetizers and drinks were on the high side for this type of neighborhood restaurant. Portion size was more then enough although the bread was ice cold. Overall it was an enjoyable evening.

We visited The Red Cat on a cold Saturday night, never having dined there before. We never even heard of it before we found it on OpenTable. The room was energetic and warm as we took our seats. My wife has a martini while I order the delicious "Winter Sweater" cocktail. We shared two great appetizers: the Scottish Salmon Crudo... More

Trying way too hard to have different ingredients like serving overlooked burger on an English muffin?!? The his puppies and ricotta toast as well as the service were very good though.

One of NYC's hidden gems. Have always loved this place. Food is delicious. Had the pork chop, which was great. Service was very attentive. Waiter made great suggestions.

This is on 10th Ave and 23rd St. Really amazing food. Delicious. I had the salmon which was prepared medium rare and served with roasted beets. Finger licking good. I also had calamari as an appetizer. It came on top of a piece of bread soaked in a tomator based sauce. Very flavorful. The staff was amazingly energetic and knowledgeable.... More

Popular chelsea bar and restaurant was enjoyable and relaxing. Brunch was well served although the small plates are 'small' and to be avoided The home smoked salmon good.

Description
This Old Chelsea food hall is a New York original. The Red Cat's combination of come-as-you-are sensibilities and straightforward, satisfying, and occasionally irreverent cuisine instantly establish the restaurant as a favorite with New York diners. As Frank Bruni wrote in the New York Times, "The Red Cat feels vaguely colonial and tavern like, except when it feels downtown-gallery cool, and apart from those moments when it feels modestly and eclectically elegant." If you are unable to book online, please call us directly and we will do our best to accommodate you.
