Were in NYC for the Billy Joel concert and knew that we had to eat at Uncle Jacks. We have been to the midtown location several times and had hoped the westside location would be just as good. We were not disappointed! The service started out kind of iffy but it picked up and the food did not let us... More

Pretty well not a lot stood out. Had a tiny table for two and a quite expensive steak and sides, but not to the point that I would recommend this over many other places. If you are local and fancy a steak - fine, there was not a lot wrong, but I would not go out of my way to... More

Good service. The salad was good. The porterhouse steak was ok but tasted more like choice than prime meat. Sides were ok. Problems came with dessert. We ordered and then waited and waited and waited. After 20 minutes or so we were told our desserts took a longer time because they needed to be specially cooked. So we waited and... More

The menu looked enticing in a traditional steakhouse kind of way. I was looking forward to a filet mignon sandwich. I told the waiter, I like a pink center so should order it medium, is that the way it comes out? He said.... steaks are always overcooked go for medium rare. I did. It was a bright red center, way... We went to Uncle Jacks during the NY Boat Show 2016 and 2017. 2016 had reservations, they directed us to the bar since we were early saying we would have a booth. Our drinks were still full, still early for res., hostess directed is to TINY table against column. Waiter acted as if he expected a small type. Food was... More

I have eaten here several times. Reviewed once before. This is likely a reaffirmation of my enjoyment of this establishment. Was here with the family on this visit as well as a couple of other recent business and family meals. First, the atmosphere and location. Classic dark steakhouse environment. If possible, get a table upstairs. While this is not a... More

We booked Uncle jacks steakhouse through Facebook as we had been here before. This time we was returning for our father 60th birthday. Andrew who made the reservation for us is a real credit to Uncle jacks, he made the evening very special and memorable for what he organised when we arrived. The staff at the restaurant were friendly very... More

Going in with a reference, my entire inconvenienced and disappointed and surprised with the lack of knowledge, unawareness, lack of preparation, and unorganization of a planned event. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I do not recommend for private parties and question dinning. I would not return or recommend for either

No doubt our meals were very nice and this is a very traditional American Steakhouse. Style is little dated but overall its hard to blame the decor. My biggest beef (excuse the pun) is that the menu structure and options don't give you much room to manage the cost if you don't want a family dinner to bust through $350.... More
