Our friends booked this place as a pre-theatre venue so we were able to join them for a delicious meal, served by excellent, friendly staff. The meatloaf was outstanding with creamy mash and spinach. The boys had cheeseburgers with fries, the empty plates testimony to...More

We visited Joe Allen on a Friday night in October 2017, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was simple comfort food we all know, without the pretence that often comes with theater district spots. We had burgers, and they were perfect. The staff were...More

Bless Joe Allen. Since 1965, this off-Times Square gem has been dishing up solid comfort food in a quiet, away-from-the-craziness oasis. I'm partial to the meatloaf and mashed potatoes but have enjoyed the burger as well. I've been known to eat dinner, go to a...More

This is a bit of a pre/post theatre haunt, being just off Broadway theatre district and minutes from Times Square. However, also rather hidden as almost in the basement and although an outside awning advertises presence we thought it was closed when we found it...More

For our first meal in New York my wife pre-booked Joe Allen`s as we had eaten in their London restaurant and enjoyed it. The restaurant it self was very similar to the London one and had a nice atmosphere. The service was good and the...More

I find it usually depends on the day of the week and the time you want to go . Pre and post theatre hours are the busiest for them and the most difficult to get reservations. A week out you should have no issues
