We thoroughly enjoyed our visit for dinner on a Sunday evening. Place was almost full but service was impeccable with both food and drinks not taking long to arrive. We had two waiters as one went off shift, but both were friendly and attentive. Food...More

We already knew Mr Allen from London, so couldn't help visiting after our trip to Broadway. Atmosphere is obviously theatrical at this place and food doesn't disappoint. Without being outstanding, it delivers a punch of flavour and quality, and the whole experience is not to...More

We stopled by for a snack after seeing a marvelous performance of “Three Tall Women“ at the Golden last night. We scored our favorite seats at the right of the entrance at the bar with a great view of primarily couples enjoying their drinks and...More

This place is an institution on Broadway! It’s not unusual to see the leads from one of the many broadway shows here for a quick dinner before of after their shows! Great people watching and cocktails but the food is could use a Hell’s Kitchen...More

Once we convinced our beautiful server that we would be enjoying our appetizers for awhile before we ordered food, she caught on and helped us have a quiet, long, fun, boozie, conversational lunch. Food was great. Location easy. Wonderful service. I forgot to take pictures....More

Be aware that this venue is not tourist friendly. The service was quite efficient to start with. My husband ordered a starter and wine which came promptly and then we had a change of server. On removing my husbands plate she took the soiled knife...More

This was the one reservation I made in advance for our long weekend in NYC because we wanted to be sure to know where we were eating before seeing our 8:00 show. Reservations for Joe Allen open up just 7 days in advance, so I...More

Enjoyed the cocktails, good service and escargot. Great people watching with lots of returning customers — some who used to eat here during their younger days. Overall enjoyable experience and great location near Richard Rogers theater.

We got a reservation here before going to a show because we liked the reviews. I had the lobster roll and my wife had the cajun chicken sandwich and I ate the escargot since my wife wont try them. The service was fast and friendly...More

I find it usually depends on the day of the week and the time you want to go . Pre and post theatre hours are the busiest for them and the most difficult to get reservations. A week out you should have no issues
