We loved the calamari here but the spaghetti and meatballs were the stand out! My kids both ordered the meatballs and didn't want to share with us at all!

I've been to Angelo's many, many times from the late 80's through early 2000's -- hadn't been back until recently, when we stopped by for a family dinner for four. Boy, has this place gone to seed. Back in the day, Angelo's was an elegant restaurant that served consistently very good, sometimes superlative food -- like the gnocchi, which was... More

We've been to Angelo's a few times now & have never been disappointed. The staff is friendly & professional. As in all the restaurants here, it's a small space, but so worth waiting for. This visit I had the cannelloni and it was perfection. If you crave Italian, go here. Just superb.

We came here on a Friday night around 8:30. We were not able to make reservations because we were a party of two. We had to wait around 15 minutes so we had a drink at the bar. I believe the daughter of the owner took care of us. The Cosmo was nicely made. Our waiter, once at the table,... More

Our first day in NYC and we made it a point to get here right when they opened. Luckily we were the first ones to be seated. The service is excellent and the food is worth the wait. For the appetizer we ordered the Spedini Mozzarella and for the entrees we ordered the Lobster Ravioli, spaghetti/meatballs and fettuccini......the best restaurant... More

I have been visiting this establishment for over 16 years (my wife for over 38). Overall the food is great and the atmosphere is fantastic. The only thing I noticed is that since Antonio's is no longer there, it is a little more chaotic as far as seating goes and less welcoming by the person at the front. For being... More

We showed up without reservations and had a short wait. The food was fantastic as I ate traditional spaghetti and meatballs, my wife had chicken Marsala and the portions were very large. Price was reasonable for the large dishes. The servers were always there to fill our water glasses or provide us anything additional we wanted. We even were entertained... More

Dinner on a Wednesday night. Little Italy was all lit up for Christmas. In the summer on weekends they close Mulberry street to car traffic, this evening it was not closed, but it made it easy to park just outside of the restaurant on the street (meter). That was excellent. Many other restaurants along this street were empty, not Angelo's.... More

Very nice upscale restaurant in little Italy. Great atmosphere and wonderful food. It is on the expensive side, but a nice place for treating yourself.

Staying in Little Italy

Neighbourhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
