Family made a point to drive all the way down to Manhattan to the village area just to get this cake for a birthday celebration! Would you travel from Long Island to Manahttan just to pick up a cake? Of course you have to order it first so that it'll be ready for pickup but it's so much worth the... More

This was one of the best cannoli I had in a long time. Very light shell and they fill it when you order it so the shell doesn't get soggy. I nice place to stop by in the afternoon to sit down .

I saw a black and white cookie while walking the street outside this place. it just reminded me of a Seinfeld episode and I went in to get it. It was super tasty. I had the cookie and an almond pastry out of this world. I liked it so much that two nights later I went back to get a... More

We were very lucky to be shown this place on a food tour. Lovely little cafe / restaurant, which to the average tourist , a hidden gem downstairs with lots of history ! Had drinks here in the sun outside, flights of wine and prosecco. Very pleasant watching the world go by ... Good service , average prices , had... More

The property is clean. The seating is tight. Noise level high. The display case was well light and made you drool in anticipation. Service was satisfactory. The coffee and capachino were hot and well brewed. The biscotti, the canoli, the cheesecake were all fresh and tasty. Decadent to a fault.

Went on St. Joseph s day and had the zepole. They were very good and both creams ( ricotta and custard) were tasty and not too sweet. Place gets crowded. Pastries are on the expensive side.

The pastries are absolutely delicious and so fresh! If you take your pastries to go, make sure the server places a cover on the rum baba. Obviously you shouldn't have to tell the server to cover this pasty so just a heads up otherwise you might end up with a leaking and messy box like I did. Despite this happening,... More

Stumbled across this place and very happy that we did! We were looking for coffee and breakfast and had the most wonderful French toast and gorgeous Italian coffee. Anabel was the perfect waitress, friendly and warm. The cakes looked fabulous - we will be back!

We loved this place and had to stop ourselves from popping in for a treat every time we walked past during our week's stay in the West Village! The cannoli is as good as that in Sicily and there were loads of gluten free goodies with a special mention for the New York cheesecake....

Came here due to the reviews and came out slightly disappointed. We had teo huge cookies, they looked, smelled and tasted delicious! On the down side: we expected those famous american style chewy soft cookies and insted they were dry, crumbly, hollow big cookies. The flavour was good, but too sweet but the texture was really disappointing. I know it... More

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
