Place had a dinner price fixe menu which we tried. Food was superb but desserts were a bit too sweet for me. Wine choice of was vast. A great place for a date.

We were quite excited to try this French themed cafe for breakfast. Server error soured the meal. The menu listed oatmeal with berries and bananas and I expected the 3 things listed: a bowl of oatmeal with berries and bananas. What I received was a bowl of oatmeal with a mixed fruit bowl poured on top. Cantaloupe (ew), honeydew, pineapple... More

Always busy when I've been on a weekend, and that is probably because they cook their food just right! I generally go for a variation on poached eggs and hollandaise (Paris jambon; smoked salmon), but I have tried other items that were also good. I also really like their cappuccinos too.

I have passed French Roast for years and never stopped in until the other night. It is a busy place, tightly packed tables with a high noise level, The food was great,. I had the salmon - superbly done, probably the best grilled salmon I've ever had. They have a Happy Hour special. When I inquired I was told it... More

The good: the food tastes good The bad: the menu is not always a good indicator of what you get. Example: Tomato and Goat Cheese Croquette gets you a salad of pretty-good-for-winter tomatos and 3 marble-sized goat cheese 'croquettes'. We were so surprised that something with top billing was such a small part of the plate that we asked the... More

I been coming here for years. I worked around the corner in the 90s so I am happy to this place still serving great food, great coffee and good cocktails. I almost don't want rave too much because part of its charm is that is not a heavily visited place I always find good seating. Awesome views for people watching... More

I have eaten here twice. Usually I get the mussels but they were out of them. French Onion soup was delish!!! This is inexpensive for a French restaurant. Nice selection of wines and they are open late. We went after theatre and loved it.

We were looking for a place that was open late for drinks and dessert and this fit the bill. The service was amazing and they had great cappuccino. I would like to go back for breakfast on a future visit. It was still busy and serving food at 11:30 PM so that is a good sign.
