An outstanding experience at an authentic Japanese Restaurant in West Village, Manhatten. The decor is traditional and there is a separate room for a private function. The service is good and attentive and the food is excellent. We chose the Aozora tasting menu with sake...More

I should have gone for Sake (for which the place seems to be famous). Instead I had an overpriced lunch of soso quality at a very uncomfortable table that was too low for eating.

A lovely and cheerful place, v good food, great atmosphere, friendly service, in a nice local neighbourhood, unusual in its decor, large yet warm. Recommend it as a different and unusual experience.

All we got was an americanized version of kaiseki. What a disappointment! And the service was atrocious. So many waiters just chatting amongst themselves. Definitely not to recommend if you hanker for quality Japanese kaiseki. Way overpriced for what you get.
