Advertised as the oldest luncheonette in New York City. Fairly easy to find on the Upper East Side near 83rd Street and Lexington Avenue. When you enter there is a long counter and then some individual booths for larger groups. Plus, some tables for two....More

My wife and I had lunch here on Thanksgiving weekend. It is really small and care-worn but charming and full of character. I don't understand the posts that mention small portions. I had the "Lexington Special" which was an enormous triple-decker sandwich. Service was very...More

Don't let the name fool you. The restaurant décor was last updated in the 1940's and boasts a classic diner menu: vanilla Coke, real malt in the shakes, good fries and multiple choices of burgers and sandwiches. All bread is handmade at a local bakery...More

Typical American diner feel - certainly unique. Service was great, huge choice with superb drinks - some are a bit pricey but it's worth it. Ended up coming back a few times throughout the week

Wandering the neighborhood we noticed hundreds of Coke bottles adorning the window. Inside is a classic top quality casual cafe. Great food. Great service. Plan to return soon

Excellent local stop for diner food. Love to come here and get a classic grilled cheese history. Close to the park, shopping, and museums!
