We found this place after walking the Highline and en route to the 9/11 memorial. It has a lovely family feeling and the coffee was great. We did not eat there but the food looked OK. The pressed copper ceiling is of historical architectural interest.

Great food, friendly atmosphere, plenty of regulars and travelers popping in for breakfast. We went on a friends recommendation who lives a block away. Great NYC atmosphere and culture. Ask the owners about the neighborhood and particularly the husband who will show you photos of his youth with hot rod girlfriends and hot rod cars. Great stories for hours yet... More

Nice little mom n pop cafe, family run cafe, very friendly, good food, good prices. A nice little change from most of the city big chain diners and restaurants. I definitely recommend this place.

Came across this fabulous place by accident. Family run: mom friendly, helpful, no-fuss, dad funny and attentive, son a most charming and handsome chap. They are a great team. To top that off, the food was glorious! Easily the best burger in my two weeks in USA. Sweet potato fries a very welcome alternative AND the seemly holy grail of... More

Found by accident when we got off the New York water taxi at Greenwich village. Genuine New York food and nice people, used by locals and good prices. Would definitely eat here again

We pass this place very morning on our new morning walk route. Once we gave in to the delightful-sounding breakfast menu, we've returned twice in a month. Forgive me for telling you this, but their bacon is absolutely delicious -- crispy, meaty, not too salty, and perfect with eggs. On the third visit I made the mistake of branching out... More

This is a great neighborhood breakfast place. Eggs, pancakes, muffins, omlettes. One draw back is that is way over in the west village but it is a short walk to the Hudson River from here. Great prices, excellent service. Second time I was here....will be back!

We went into this pleasant small cafe on six or seven times and found it to be very good with food ,service and cost.My only dislike was it closed at 4pm and not open at night.

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
