This place is great - been going there for years. Food and atmosphere are excellent. Loud and tasty and the drinks flow.
Ear Inn is the longest continuously serving alcohol establishment in New York City. It dates back to 1841. The menu is modest, the main plates being hamburgers. Definitely not fancy, but worth while sharing a bit of history.
Great place. Lovely food and helpful staff. The place is oozing with character and history. Bonus is no mobiles allowed. So lovely to see people actually taking to each other. One of the best meals we had in New York. We read that the Inn...More
Loved this bar. It’s a proper authentic old school bar no TV and no phones allowed. We met one of the owners Richard who gave us a tours of the historical building. It’s was amazing. They serve food and have jazz from time to time....More

Lots of history here, and it's just such a cool place. They've been serving customers for 200 years. It will be busy during the summer and over the weekend, so you might stand outside if the weather permits. I've eaten here and the food is...More
How nice. Incredible staff, super food, drinks served perfect, sat at the bar and just enjoyed the experience. Casual, attentitive and all that goes with it plus the best sandwich of the week served with a cider. I would now always make a visit here...More
Wanted a place to have a cold pint before back to hotel and out for dinner. Pints were cold and delicious, service very friendly, and who knew the food was exceptional (we stayed for dinner). Good thing Hotel Hugo was a block away. We went...More
I love the Ear. On this Friday it was hopping. Fun happy crowd, good service, strong beer menu. It was like meeting up with old friends, everyone was glad to see you. Great history, interesting furnishings. Outside was the place be on this day though.
One of the oldest and most Historic bars in New York City. The atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly and fast. Love It.
The Ear Inn makes you feel like you are in a true old style New York bar. It has a great traditional feel about it. The vibe is good, and the service was great. It is slightly off the main restaurant/bar areas but worth a...More
While in NYC we decided to check out The Ear Inn supposedly the oldest continuously operating Bar since 1817 201 years. The Jazz was superb and the food was good as were the drinks. This place is adorned with memorabilia some of it very old....More
I discovered this quirky-cozy pub about 1,5 years ago and I loved it so much that on our recent visit to NY, it was a must. They have live jazz on Sunday evenings, which only enhances the already warm atmosphere. The chicken Caesar I ordered...More
Nice place and food -quiche - was good and not expensive. Staff were friendly. Several draught beers - local and belgian - but we did not return. In the fore it is very noisy, in the back a bit better but the smell is not...More
