Everything you'd expect from a neighbourhood NY diner - including the dry wit of the waiter. Pancakes and bacon aren't a demanding meal but they got it spot on.

Went there with my daughter for breakfast. Upon entering, was gruffly told to pick any table. Omelette was not very big, but the bowl of oatmeal was hearty. Had to ask for everything that was necessary, such as straws, butter, sugar, etc. Daughter ordered a Belgian waffle which she said was OK. A side order of bacon was plentiful. Overall,... More

The staff are intelligent and gracious--they accommodated everything we asked for. We are a bit picky so we were pleasantly surprised. Food was quite decent. We'll be back.

Lots and lots of choices...quick service, fair prices. Always able to find something good to choose..and there are daily specials!! One of the only places around that makes Turkey Soup ( only available Saturday and Sunday)....smoothies very good and a true summer refresher! Quick service in the restaurant and when food ordered for delivery. Nice staff.

Visited her for brunch, had a good seat by the window. The service was excellent and the waiter very friendly and took an interest in where we are from. We both had sausage, egg and cheese roll which was tasty and not very expensive.

This is the worst diner in Manhattan or at least on the Upper East Side. I eat here only if desperate, as I was today since the diner is located near my doctor's office and I had very little time to grab a bite before my appointment. First of all the place is filthy. There were bread crusts on the... More

Ordered the special - two eggs with potatoes, coffee and juice. Reasonable price for New York diner. Alex, our waiter, is very nice. Seems to be a diner frequented by local people.

In addition to having just about anything you could want to eat morning, noon, and night, the servers here are positive, pleasant, and eager to please. My waiter today took me seriously when I asked for extra pickles and cole slaw at lunch. He admitted hating when he asks for extra something in a restaurant and is given "slightly" more as... More

The service was great and friendly and the food was served fresh and hot! This is a neighborhood diner offering classic diner fare. We ate breakfast and everything was cooked to order and served hot. Our server, Alex! was a native New Yorker who was friendly and entertaining. We would definitely seek this place out if we return to NY.... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
