Family weekend out. The ladies at the reception were very nice and friendly. All the food was nice, even the bread to start with. I had the red shrimp with chitarra, the shrimp was cooked perfectly à point. and my main was duck en croute, also perfectly done, meat is succulent even with the pastry wrapped around. hubby had smoked... We ate a late lunch here to celebrate my wife's birthday. We had to book in the bar area, which turned out to be a good move. The food was exceptional, the service was excellent and fairly priced for the quality and (almost) best of all, there is a no-tipping policy meaning that what you see is what you pay.... More

With the stunning view of MOMA's garden, it's always good to come back here with guests from overseas, all get so excited with the food, service and ambience without fail. However, for the locals, the courses are relatively fixed, yet offering minor changes from time to time with today's special, may be honestly setbacks to visit frequently. Wine selection is... More

I would not normally splurge this way, and it is silly how pricey, but I wanted a special lunch at MOMA. Each of the 3 of us made different selections so we could share. Though service was a bit slow, I have to say, I have only had one other meal that came close to being so good. The chefs... More

Kevin Brown led a team of exceptional staff as they served up a multiple course spectacular meal with a variety of extras and a very fine selection of cocktails and wines. I haven't had as much fun at dinner in a long time but I haven't eaten at other two star Michelin restaurants. One star just doesn't compare.

Visited this iconic restaurant attached to MOMA. Glass-fronted, elegant place with smart, intelligent waiting staff. Had the 4 course menu, plus a bottle of St Emilion, one glass of champagne and 2 coffees. First course of fois gras tart with a strawberry meringue was an unforgettable combination of flavour - but the portion was tiny - an inch wide at... More

The Modern is sleek, efficient and expensive, but perfect for a delicious meal only steps from MOMA. The smoked salmon sliders and steak tartare were small but excellent. The bacon and onion tart is our favorite and my wife loved the roasted avocado. Excellent if expensive wines by the glass. Tips are included in the price of the meal. The... More

I did not want to leave MOMA for lunch and tried The Modern. Although I grew up in NYC I leave lived away for many years. I have traveled all over the world and eaten in great and extremely expensive restaurants. If I weighted the food in all the restaurants that I have eaten in all over the world The... More

With a view of the Sculpture Garden, and able to hear one another, we enjoyed an excellent evening with skilled staff and amazing food. Each dish was beautifully presented and delicious. It was expensive, but it was worth it.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
