Superb atmosphere and welcome. Great range of Italian dishes on the menu. Despite being recommended this restaurant, the service was very poor and the food inedible. My pasta was under cooked and for the time taken between ordering and having our meals served there is no way that our pasta was cooked fresh. Our meals were clearly microwaved by the... More

Da Marino is not just a great Italian restaurant in the middle of the theater district , it's an evening of fun and music. Special shout and thanks to singer tom d'angelo for making a good time great!

By far our favorite restaurant in the city! We visit every chance we get. We celebrated our daughters 12th birthday here because it is her favorite. We had a party of 10 and as usual the food is wonderful, but what makes this restaurant the best is its service. They really make us feel like family when we visit. I... More

My 17 year old son and I went to this restaurant before seeing Hamilton for two reasons: First, it was within several blocks of the theater. Second, it had received very strong reviews on trip advisor. It is a very interesting atmosphere and I have to say that the service was quite good. I had branding which was filleted table... More

We found the restaurant somewhat by accident and we're glad we did- had to call to make reservations and enjoyed a terrific meal. The Spaghettti was amazing and the pollo primavera and gnocchi excellent. Lamb Chops were very good but the focus was really the pasta. The wait staff was very polite and gracious as well. Decor really cool too.... More

Had a great dinner while visiting NYC for my wife's birthday. Nino, Ingrati, and Vadim gave us excellent service. We loved the environment and the piano music.

We just happened upon this restaurant after we saw Book of Mormon. I am glad we did! We were invited in by a friendly manager standing outside. The décor immediately transports you to Italy. (the bathroom is even decorated like a garden). There was a talented and funny piano player (Dennis) who made sure to make everyone feel at home... More

Da Marino closed for renovations shortly after or visit in Dec 2015, we were so relieved they re-opened just before our December 2016 visit! Our entire party of 10 thoroughly enjoyed themselves! My cousin from Scotland was giddy to meet Chris Noth (aka Mr Big from Sex & the City)! The chocolate fettuccini & chicken parmigiana were big hits. My... More

From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated like royalty. The staff was charming and the décor beautiful (check out the ladies room!) We ordered two plates of fettucini and tap water and paid $85 with tip. DOH!

Description
Da Marino serves traditional authentic Italian cuisine featuring Chef Massimo's Northern Italian dishes and Chef Pasquale's Southern Italian cooking. Upon entering the restaurant you feel that you are in an old Italian villa overlooking the Mediterranean through balcony windows and terrace. The restaurant was created and designed by Chef Pasquale and painted by Italian artist Davide Rodoquino. We offer live piano music every evening.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
