We just love this little gem in the city! It's very intimate and is loaded with atmophere... and the food is great, too! We usually stop in for appetizers and beers.... It is usually pretty full and it's fun to just sit back and enjoy the ambiance. Whenever we stay midtown NewYork, we try to stop in!

This place is a little secret in midtown. Has a very authentic European pub feel. Great wines and beers. Also good food. They show soccer matches and the atmosphere is very friendly.

We were walking over to Times Square and saw the Duvel sign and knew that they were serious or at least we hoped. As we entered our hopes were confirmed, these guys had good beer and a the interior makes you forget you're in Manhattan, which is not a bad thing some days. Service was okay, but the atmosphere and... More

Or at least old world NYC. Just step inside and the hustle and bustle of Times Square melts away. Real wood, gracious service, fells like it has been there for a century....yet feels clean! I had the Chimay triple and a croque mademoiselle. The frites were perfect and the sandwich yummy. A keeper!

Just off Times Square on west 43rd street, BXL Cafe offers everything Belgian from beer to food and although we didn't eat there, everyone else seemed to be eating moules frites which to you and me are mussels and chips.if you have ever been to a bar in Belgium or Holland you would recognise the decor. Nice cozy atmosphere and... More

Economical escape to Europe. The mussels exemplify joie de vivre. Add a couple Stellas or another Belgium draft.

My wife and i stopped for drinks to kill some time before a dinner reservation and really enjoyed it. There is a wonderful selection of Belgian beer on tap and although we didn't eat anything other than an order of bitterballen the menu was very appealing with Belgian classics such as mussels done seven different wayd, carbonnade, stuffed endive and... I went on Monday to Majestic Theatre to buy tickets for The Phantom of the Opera in Broadway next day (Tuesday). Then we wanted to go to the hotel (Times Square, Double Tree Suites by Hilton), but something caught our eye: my sister is fan of Thibaut Courtois and the Red Devils (like me) and I saw a picture of... Superbe experience... Manager is a Belgian and knows how to run a Belgian bar! Try the Duvel... Start with the Duvel Green and afterwards try the normal Duvel... Be careful it's not only the best beer in the world it is also strong;)

Was looking for a reasonably priced brunch place in the neighborhood for a small group, but not a tourist trap, and this place turned up from my search - it fit the bill. Easy to miss, and from the outside looks like nothing impressive. Inside was clean and comfortable, a small, cozy pub atmosphere. Not the biggest dining area fyi.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
