For a large restaurant the ambiance is cosy and stylish and we were received like welcome regulars, although it was our first time. The acoustics are managed well as the noise level was fine to hold a good conversation.

I have to say I was slighly apprehensive about eating here as the reviews arent what I would expect for a Nobu restaurant. I am glad to say I had nothing to worry about. Whilst others have complained about the service, we thought that the...More

The first uptown New York location by legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, opened to much anticipation in the summer of 2005. Nobu's co-owners are his longtime partners: renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, and producer Meir Teper. The restaurant showcases Nobu's signature New Style Japanese cuisine with classic dishes such as Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno and Black Cod Miso, and new creations from the wood burning oven and the hibachi table.
