Went to Taim having not been there for a few years. The standard of the food here has sadly declined and has become more expensive. The food used to be excellent. My dinner was notably unremarkable. I will stick to Mamoun's in east village, which is cheaper and more authentic. You guys need to pull your socks up,

We have Taim catered to our office every now and then. Nothing about the food is appealing. DO NOT eat the falafel. It's a big ball of tasteless mush.

Read all about Taim's "best falafel in the city" reports and blogs before deciding to visit it and we were not let down a bit! You can easily share a platter between 2 people and order a sample of the other falafel flavors available, trust me once you try the kalamata olive flavor you won't go back to the regular... More

I love falafel, so while visiting new york I looked up where the very best falafel was supposed to be. Tami came up as the best. So I walked twenty blocks in 30 degree cold to get there. So disappointed. The falafel was rather hard and dry, like it had been sitting around all evening. The pita was very doughy... More

I got a very tasty sandwich at a good price. We didn't have to wait for long, and I especially appreciated the convenient order and payment process. There isn't much room to sit, however, but the space is smartly utilized.

The falafel and salads were amazing and the pom-lemonade was delicious. I highly recommend this place to everyone in the neighborhood....now all they need are more places to sit. I say take it to go....its well worth eating while you walk!

Stopped here while in Greenwich. I ordered the green falafel with s'rut. Amazing I love the pocket pita it comes in. Large portions and delicious.

Whenever we are in town my wife and I go here at least once for lunch. I always get a harissa falafel sandwich. My wife goes for the sabich. Their food is the best but the place is SMALL and seating can be an issue.

Has changed in recent years - more locations, now not cash only, more expensive (only by a few dollars)... But it still very good falafel. Avoid their food truck though- not the same experience, and head to the original west village location.

Best falafel ever. I love this place, super fresh, just delicious. A perfect take out dinner, or lunch or snack! Never fails to exceed my expectations.

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
