Freemans's brunch is pretty exciting. The menu may be small, but the choices pack a punch and there are a good number of healthy options as well. The pancakes are definitely a winner, while the omelettes are also delicious. Even the thick cut bacon and sausage links were surprisingly good sides.

With great expectations we went on Christmas Eve to have a nice dinner with the family. The first impression like the entrance, the rooms and even the menu seemed very nice. However, looking at the prices, above all of the wines (the cheapest was a Lambrusco for 12 dollars a glass) made us already doubt about how it would be.... More

Hidden in Soho. Clearly popular even on a Turs. night. I had the roasted squash soup, delicious. I would skip the mussels with crusty French bread---way over done. Came in without a reservation so our seating was in the bar area so it was really loud! There's a much quitter space in the back--insist on being sat there otherwise you'll... More

We originally planned to dine at a different restaurant but when we found out the wait was too long, we went to Freemans instead. We had cocktails at the bar while they set our table and within minutes, we were seated. The alleyway entrance was very unique and eccentric. Inside, the ambiance was rustic, cozy and charming. The menu is... More

Really like the atmosphere, the decor and then food! Really popular and can be crowded but still perfect for booze brunch in the city! Love it!

We had brunch here before visiting the New Museum around the corner. The alley location is so cool. How many alleys are there in Manhattan? It was crowded but the wait was quite short. The place is quite large with several dining rooms and two floors. Service was friendly and efficient. Had the poached eggs with cheese grits and creamed... More

Everyone suggested that this is the place not to be missed... kinda, maybe, not really... sure the chips were like heaven but massively let down by no non dairy options for your coffee, being my first coffee of the day it certainly set the wrong tone. Considering it was an alternative and hip venue, surely they could have some long... More

A little difficult to find, but that was part of the charm, as it turned out. Interesting decor, comfortable and unique. We went for brunch, a party of six with two small children. They had the perfect table for us and the service, despite our larger party, was wonderful, as was the food. Would not hesitate to return.

Freeman's is a hidden treasure, our new favorite in NYC! The menu, food, service and ambiance are terrific. We can't wait to go back. If you haven't been, put Freeman's at the top of your list. Great wines, intimate/friendly setting, personable & professional waiters plus outstanding food make this a truly special place.
