My wife and I have had the benefit of the many four-star and Michelin rated restaurant. Del Posto by far is within the top five of the restaurants I’ve ever seen. It’s not just the food, but the ambience, the service, and the overall experience....More

Just happened by, what good luck! Three course lunch, (main meal of the day) started with crusty bread and creamy butter, salad was good, but the entree was to die for! Cooked beef, medium rare and on a bed of peppers and capers.. ate it...More

Our last evening in New York, so we wanted something special. And we were glad we chose Del Posto. Service was exquisite: very courteous, with humour where appropriate, and attentive. The ambience was also wonderful: quiet, subdued and elegant. We were a little disappointed that...More

Impeccable old school elegance. One of the best restaurant experiences I have had in the world. The décor harks back to classical times in NYC. Very pricey but oh so worth it!

Overwhelming service - I think more help than guests - the food was just too much - each dish was delicious but had too many ingredients like they didn’t know when to stop. They offer 5 course and 9 course and chef’s choice - each...More

I had the pleasure of dining at Del Posto for lunch recently with some friends. The staff was kind and attentive for the entire visit, even pushed in my chair as I sat(I cannot recall the last time anyone did that for me). Shortly after...More

Too often these days you go back to a restaurant where you've had memorable meals only to find that things have slipped in the kitchen or elsewhere. I was very pleasantly surprised recently at Del Posto that this was not the case and that quite...More

We were shocked at the high prices, poor food and poor behavior by the wait staff. Firstly we were given menus when we first sat down at our table for a price fixed dinner at around $200 per person. We then asked if we could...More

Had my favorite meal of my life here this week. For $69/person to have four courses (which turn out to be large portions) including a gluten free house made pasta course, this is the best deal in NYC. On top of the four courses listed...More

I'd agree that our dinner came to about $250 a person all inclusive with tip and tax, we opted for a prix fixe that was, I believe, $125 a person, but we also had cocktails, a bottle of wine and a few extras.

Description
Del Posto is the richest and most refined creation of Joe Bastianich, Lidia Bastianich and Executive Chef Melissa Rodriguez. In October of 2010, Del Posto received a glowing four-star review from The New York Times, the first Italian restaurant to do so in nearly 40 years. At Del Posto, the ambiance of European luxury, palate-enlightening cuisine, polished service, and a world-renowned wine list culminate in an Italian dining experience unlike any other. Del Posto is proud to hold the coveted Relais & Chateaux distinction, a 5 Diamond Award from AAA, and the Grand Award from the Wine Spectator.
