The restaurant still looks fantastic after all these years but it has become a factory to eat in. The food bears little resemblance to any Asian cuisine (avoid the totally tasteless Hong Kong scallops and shrimp) and it all tastes a bit sweet and sickly....More

This is the second time at this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Our reservation was for 8:30 and we asked for a table downstairs because although the restaurant is beautiful, that's our favorite area. We knew we'd end up waiting a bit as a...More

I’ve been to the buddakan in Atlantic City and it was great. I tried the location in NYC with some friends that were in from California. The appetizers were skimpy. The side dishes were all so extremely salty. We sent the Asian vegetables back, which...More

The drinks are fantastic! Great restaurant and service! The only thing I would recommend is to not order everything at the same time. Better to order a few and if you are still hungry order again.....or order the dim sum and after that order entrees.

Returned to Buddakan after probably seven years or so. The service and food are both excellent (though we had to wait almost 30 minutes to get our table). The physical space is impressive, astounding, really. The only problem was the acoustics ... nightclub-style music up...More

Located next to Chelsea market, the entrance can be hard to find, and even after you enter it can be hard to find your way it's so dark (let alone reading the menu). However, it's all about the food which is excellent. Asian fusion with...More

Food was very good, the service was also very good. Our food came out too quickly, in and out within 1 hour?????. You could not hear yourself think, it was so loude. Is this typical NY? The noise just put a dampener on the night....More

Yes definitely! My husband has multiple allergies, our waiter was very attentive to his needs and the meal was amazing despite his restrictions.

The surreal atmosphere of this awe-inspiring restaurant in the Meatpacking district of Manhattan combines the serenity of Asia with the flamboyance of 16th century Paris. The menu features fanciful interpretations of Chinese dishes and delights even the most discriminating palates.
