My friend and I ate here for dinner on a Saturday night and it was not crowded. We split the regular mac n cheese and the buffalo mac n cheese. Both dishes were sooooo good. The mac n cheese was perfection! Better than anything I could make at home. They have plenty of cool mac n cheese flavors (something for... More

I have been coming to S'MAC for years & it's consistently delicious. There are so many different combinations you can make & there is a full variety of Stewart's soda. I think the nosh is the perfect size & I greatly appreciate how my mac & cheese comes served on a hot skillet. The location is perfect as well. It's... More

We'd just got to our apartment a few streets away after 24 hrs of flying/transit and this was the perfect meal to kick off our American/NYC experience. We ordered the alpine (bacon and cheese) and pizza (fresh tomato, basil and herbs) and both were great. Although we ordered the smallest size (nosh) it was soooo filling we didn't come close... Really good GF pasta options! Really liked this place! Couldn't give 5 stars - staff was quite disconnected from the customers - that part was kinda strange. But I was there for the Mac!

The mac & cheese is amazing - really, truly the best I've ever had. I always eat too much and regret it afterwards but then I want to go again on my next visit to NYC! This location is really small so be prepared to wait and fight for a table. But I think it is worth it!

Don't be put off by the scruffy appearance of this place. The food was great value, quick and delicious. I had regular American mac and cheese (gluten free ) and it tasted exactly as it should, gloopy and extremely cheesy.

This cute, super-casual neighborhood place's Four Cheese Mac and Cheese ranked #1 out of the 7 places I visited on my recent personal "Tour de Mac-et-Fromage." The menu's variety of mac and cheese skillet sizes and ingredient combinations is mind-expanding. I always order a classic version, so the Four Cheese had my name on it. I opted for the Nosh... Myself and my wife searched East Village for this place after talking to someone in Harlem about my love for Macaroni cheese. We got lost, caught the wrong train and then finally found it a few hours later. 100% worth it, takeaway mac n' cheese abundant in flavour. Found a park in East Village, got asked by five people where... More

Staying in East Village

Neighbourhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighbourhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighbourhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
