A small party of family and friends, (six people), went to the restaurant for dinner. The ambience was nice, the service was good but the food was a big disappointment both in terms of portion size and price being charged. For example, I had the Berkshire Pork Loin which when it came looked like a dish of heaped rapini, I... More

One of my favorite places in the village. Cluny has a wonderful staff both attentive and unobtrusive. the food is an excellent mix of French favorites from starters based on what is in the farmers market to salads, seafood and excellent burgers. Wine selection is good and the cocktails inventive. The small bar is nice if you come alone.

Let's get the one thing I didn't like out of the way: the Lilliputian tuna portion for $18. I get it, it was fantastic...but $12, maybe $14. Man- it was THE smallest appetizer I'd ever bought. More like an amuse bouche. I DID know this place was pricey and I accepted it. But that was not right. That's why only... More

This establishment is affiliated with Cafe Luxembourg on W 70... Both have a similar vibe and menu. The brasserie menu is not extensive but appeared to offer a bit of everything. (Brasserie is that awkward time between lunch and dinner... about 4 - 6 pm.... my favorite time to dine because restaurants tend to be less hectic.) Excellent Bulleit manhattan,... More

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff, fast service and best eggs Benedict in town. The place is really small so you will be making friends with people sitting next to you. Well worth the experience.

A pleasant restaurant in the West Village. The food is not quite as inventive as the menu descriptions suggest, and the "roasted" Brussels Sprouts are not al dente but almost raw, they should try them at Perry Street and copy that. However, the staff are nice and the food is quite nice in gereral, though it's not at all cherap... More

Everything about this place is perfect. Food, service and staff. First place i came to on my first ever day in NY- it'll always be a personal favourite. Food wise- the chicken wrap is sensational as are the zucchini fries!

Staying in West Village

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
