The ambience is quite unique in that it is bigger with the loft than expected, the round booths, and the music add to the experience. We had COBB SALAD BITES, FRENCH ONION SOUP DUMPLINGS, POTATO & GOAT CHEESE PIEROGIES(great) WILD MUSHROOM & SPINACH RAVIOLI(incredible), OLD SCHOOL MEATBALLS(out of this world), ‘BEEF & BROCCOLI( a little salty and the weakest of... Went to Stanton Social on a recent trip to New York. Didn't start well when the lady at the front desk was incredibly rude and pretentious, so unlike the majority of natives we met! Waited 50 minutes to be seated as our table wasn't ready, we were directed upstairs to wait in the lounge but this was packed too with... More

As an Englishwoman in New York, brunch was a first for me. We booked through open table, no problem at all with the booking. When we arrived the queues were out the door. Always a good sign. We were seated fairly promptly in a nice booth. The place was filled to capacity but the booth offered us a nice degree... More

We waited at the bar upstairs for our entire party of 6 to arrive. Both the bar and restaurant are quite loud but we could still talk and hear each other. Six of us sat in a round booth which was great. The food is meant to sharing. It was all delicious. The drinks were fine- regular drinks but crazy... More

The selection of food is amazing and all the food we sampled was very tasty. They offered vegetarian options (for example the edamame were also made without fish sauce) and these were just as tasty as the menu items. The ricotta pizza was delightful, as were their dumplings. Even the vegatarian vegetable pasta with delicious. We were a large group... More

I can not believe this restaurant is still in business! They shoved 5 of us in a booth that was WAY too small! It was so incredibly hot that we almost didn't stay but the server said he would talk to the manager who was going to lower the temperature. The temperature didn't lower much. And the worst part is... More

Love this place, visited while in NY for the week with teenagers. Booked for the earliest 5pm Sunday dinner following their lovely cocktails. All sharing plates, all delicious, fairly pricy but lovely!

This is was my second time at The Stanton Social. The food here is awesome. I felt very confident coming here since I came for restaurant week. I also made my friends. Comfortable with the choice to eat here. What I wasn't expecting was the server 153 Anderson to be nasty. If my friends and I asked about a particular dish.... More

If you like to hang out- this place is definitely for you. Doesn't mAtter if you come with a friends or solo. There is always people around with whom you can interact while having drink or just some lunch. I was there for a promo party. Delicious appetizers and brunch course menu.

Chef/owner Chris Santos has teamed up with Tao owner Richard Wolf, and the James Beard 'Best New Restaurant Design' award winning firm AvroKo, to create The Stanton Social, a staple and neighborhood favorite of the Lower East Side.

The design of this three level hot spot tips it's hat to the neighborhood's garment history and offers diners a culinary odyssey. All menu items are designed for sharing, offering guests a chance to experience multiple dishes and flavors throughout their meal. In addition to its 120 seats, The Stanton Social offers a lounge and bar on the upper level, featuring guest DJs. Dishes range from $9-$30 each.

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighbourhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
