If you're going to be in Chinatown or little italy don't miss this pastry shop. The rainbow cookies are phoenominal! I would just try everything, at least 1 version of everything. We got a small box to sample and it was always the highlight of the evening when we returned back to our hotel room for am Italian treat.

If you have never tried a cannoli, this would be a great place to start. You will understand why people rave about them. We asked three people at different times where they would buy a cannoli and all three said you have to get a Ferrara. It was a great recommendation. We wished we could have brought a box home,... Wandering the streets of Little Italy, we were in search of something sweet. This little bakery had a nice array of pastries and they even had a number of them in "mini" form. A simple coffee and a mini cannoli, I was all set. A nice little tasty treat that was not too sweet.

It's unfair to sell cannolis right out on the street. But going in is even more perilous. Every pastry is better than the last, and wonderfully fresh. The only mercy is that some of the pastries come in smaller sizes, so visitors can sample a couple. They also make a mean cup of coffee. Friendly people, wonderful bakers.

This place is tiny but it is jam packed with delicious Italian cookies. On Mulberry in Little Italy it is a must do stop for the Italian cookies of your youth and always worth a stop.

My husband and I arrived in Little Italy at 7am, tired, and in need of caffeine. We left our bags in our hotel and headed out. This cafe was across the road from our hotel, still closed to the public but opening up. It was below freezing, NY still suffering from the snow storm. We ventured in, and asked for... More

I've tried cannolis from just about anywhere I can find them: Brooklyn, Hoboken, NYC, other bakeries in Little Italy, NY, and even Little Italy in Cleveland. The red velvet cannoli from La Bella Ferrara has so far been my very favorite! If you like red velvet with cream cheese and have the chance, try one!! It's my new favorite!

Make sure you visit this bakery in Little Italy. We've tried cookies, cannoli, cream puffs, etc. Everything is unbelievable - need to have online ordering to ship home!

Staying in Little Italy

Neighbourhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
