A local hangout for good reason - generous and tasty tapas portions in a unique and inviting atmosphere. A great find!

Looking for something close to where our out of town friends where staying. Interesting looking place. I wasn't sure what style of food they were serving, although I thought it was supposed to be Greek influenced. Nonetheless, four of us when for brunch. The quality of the food seemed ok but it was hard to choose from the brunch menu,... More

We only found this because we went to a really bad diner a few doors up and wanted to find somewhere else. REALLY GOOD. Clean , great food and service.

This 9th Avenue find has a warm wooden interior and a cozy back room . It felt good on a cool December afternoon and the food and wine was amazing. We had 4 skewers- shrimp, kofte, turkey meatballs, and octopus. All were prepared well; some mildly spicy and all delicious. The accompanying kale salad with figs and walnuts, their most... More

We had a group of 20 people celebrating an event. We were seated in a room at the far end of the restaurant, along with another group. The service could not have been better, and they kept bringing plate after plate of a variety of their dishes, which we shared. The food was beautifully presented, and really delicious. I can't... Kashkaval is a real find. We had an early lunch and had their 6 spread selection, and each was delicious with pita bread. Clearly one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in Hells Kitchen. Definitely give it a try.

We have had the pleasure of dining at Kashkaval many times when visiting NYC. We often stop here for a light meal of hummus, pitas, tapas, and a glass of beer and wine. The flavors are delightful and the enticing! Prices are just right (especially for NYC), the staff is gracious and the atmosphere is welcoming. A very nice, comfortable... More

Two couples stopped in for an earl dinner on a Friday night. We started at the bar with their happy hour wine and excellent draft beer. We were seated by the friendly host within minutes. We ordered one of their fondues and a large selection of different mediteranean tapas, served with a basket of pita. As usual, it was all... More

We trekked up Broadway after catching a show for a bite to eat and a drink. We ordered a delicious spinach and feta dish served with plenty of pitta bread, lamb kofte and asparagus with melted cheese. Excellent food and great red wine and beer. Well worth the walk up and down to Times Square!

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
