A very good restaurant, offering different menus. It was not far from my hotel, I am often returned because it was very good

Any time I can walk into a bar and someone hands me a drink I know I am in my happy place. Coopers Tavern was my favorite hotel bar. Cheers!

I visited Coopers on a Friday night for dinner and a drink. Several other places had 1 hour waits for a table but Coopers was able to accommodate our group of 3 in just a few minutes. I started off with a gin cocktail, i believe it was the the Inventor, which was very good, just a bit sweet. Then... More

We ate here one evening. We waited quite a whie to be shown to a table but the service was quick once seated. Nice lively atmosphere. However sadly the food was average.

The restaurant advertises a fabulous Fixed Price dinner option but totally neglects to tell customers that they don't offer it if there is a major event at Madison Square Garden. Very disappointing. Without that clarification, they really mis-represent what they have (or don't have) to offer. Otherwise dinner was fine. Just don't be fooled by a good deal if you... More

Cooper's good beer selection helps, but when you're from out of town looking for a friendly bartender as well as a good beer, this might not be the place for you.

Well, we thought we were going to Coopers Tavern, but the name changed and it was something different - though excellent. Think perhaps someone should update this and take Cooper's Tavern off - it's not there anymore,

Coopers is a good place to nurse a cold one and people watch. Will definitely return, and bring more people with me. Service was great, but not with a smile.

My friend & I were in town for a concert and when checking out the venue we saw this restaurant nearby. It was located in the New Yorker Hotel (i think it's been named something else before). convenient to lots of attractions and easy to get to. We went on thanksgiving night - no reservation but I had checked open... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
