Came here for dinner on a recent trip to NYC to visit family. It's almost easy to miss since there's a little sign and you have to go into almost a basement into this very quaint bar and then they take you upstairs to the actual restaurant. There's a garden section which is probably a bit nicer during the day... More

Excellent food and service. Took about 10 minutes after they opened to be sat. Eggs Benedict with salmon was outstanding.

We loved this venue and had s superb table but we did book well in advance. The service was wonderful the food delicious if not a little over priced. Two of the drinks we requested they couldn't do which was surprising as nothing special. Small criticism is the noise level quite high so ask for a table upstairs.

Went there about a year ago and loved it. Went back recently and were disappointed. The menu totally changed - it is now a basic French Bistro - Food was good but not memorable. The main issue was that the menu was very limited and there was only 1 special. No veggie options and when we were there, the only... More

It was good services and tentatively attended by our server. We started with the Foie Gras and Escargo but had to send back the Escargo because it didn't taste good at all. We changed it to the Grilled Octopus and amazed how tasty it was. We had grilled salmon and duck breast for entrees, then had the fried beignet as... More

Excellent. We were there , a friend recommended the restaurant. Service was great, waittress was knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Food was delicious, perfect foie gras. We lowed our main courses, great mussels and steak au poivre tender and tusty. The sommelier recommendation American Cabernet was delightful. Management very attentive and present. Definitely a winner

We were invited there for a birthday party with about 14 other persons. We were in a private room. Our host had organized a pre-fixed menu for $75 but few some people had to order outside because of some food constraints. To our dismay, the bill came up $170 per person !!! They basically double dipped by charging full price... More

We really enjoyed having diner at Bobo. The lower level had a nice bar with a vibrant atmosphere. The upper floor is more of a seated diner. The place is Nicely decorated, it has this cozy french feel to it. And the staff were friendly and helpful. What to order: we ordered the tuna tartar as an appetizer. It was... More

We ate here on our final night in New York after having spotted the place earlier in our stay. The restaurant is very classily decorated, giving a great ambience, which is added to by the helpful and friendly front-of-house staff. We ordered between us two meals and two sides. One of the main courses and one of the sides however... More

Two women and a child for Sunday morning Brunch. Sat at a Banquet which allowed the child to squirm as much as she wanted without bothering anyone else. Nice menu but not extraordinary except for the ambience.

Neighbourhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighbourhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
