The restaurant makes a good first impression with the decor and the staff. They had some nice specials including a ginger shitake soup that was very tasty. I had the red curry with tofu and my partner had the string bean and tofu dish spiced up a bit. Everything was fresh and good. It is good to note that they... More

Good Thai restaurant, not the best I have ever been, nevertheless I was very satisfied with the price quality. Starter, main and beer for USD28. Definitely worth to visit if you are around in NYC. Of you like spicy food, ask for hot sauce (sambal), as American spicy is different from a European point of view. Enjoy!

Stopped in here after a trade show at Javits. Had green curry fried rice. It was spicy, but not too hot for U.S. taste. Reasonable price. Fast service. Super friendly. Short walk from Javits. I will be back!!!!

We were on our way from Javitz to our hotel and wanted Thai. We found this place with high ratings and they did not disappoint. The food was not only fast and tasty but the servings were huge! Will return next year for the convention

Wanted a nearby spot to our hotel, this was just around the corner but we used Trip Advisor to finalize our decision whether to go there, and boy are we glad that we did! Food was delicious and service was great! Curry puffs with dipping sauce were yummy! I'm sure everything is good here.

Thai Select was recommended to me by both Tripadvisor and my hotel around the corner. Walked in, ordered take out at the bar and my meal was ready within 5 minutes. Their Tom Kar Soup was delicious and the rock shrimp appetizers were also very good. Everything was still hot when I enjoyed dinner in my hotel room. Would definitely... More

Stopped in for eats and drinks before a show. We asked the staff that we have limited time and they were happy to accommodate us. Lemongrass coconut soup, green curry beef pad thai chicken. All the food was good. Not my choices of the meal I would have order something more exotic. A nice selection on the menu. Very clean... More

We ate at Thai Select Saturday night before the theater. It proved to be a great choice - the service was prompt, the food very fresh and tasty, and we were at the theater in plenty of time for an 8 pm curtain. I had the Duck Pineapple Curry; the duck was crispy and tender and the veggies were done... More

Thai Select seeks to thrill the New York epicure with Thai that's global, fresh and fun. Located in the midtown-west area of Manhattan, Thai Select offers healthy, modern Thai cuisine with worldly flare. Although the signature taste remains authentic Thai in flavor, the presentation might be a bit French in aesthetics, a bit Italian in portion and a bit Japanese in simplicity. With dishes like Kee Mao Fettuccini (made with whole wheat pasta) and Fruit Fried Rice (stir-fried with seasonal fruits), Thai Crabcake (encrusted to perfection) and Coconut Puff Martini (jumbo shrimp hand-battered in coconut strips), the kitchen selects only the very best dishes in Thai cuisine and only the freshest of ingredients picked from the farmer's market for our patrons; hence the name, Thai Select.

Staying in Midtown

Neighbourhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit—spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's heaven where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit the Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
