I really loved this place. My only regret is that we were not able to spend enough time here to really enjoy the meal slowly because we were rushing for a social event. The food was absolutely outstanding - I highly recommend the gnocchi dish! The setting was gorgeous too - we ate in a cute little indoor/outdoor patio area!... More

Dined here with a friend for lunch last Saturday and we sat at the bar. I had been in previously just for drinks late one night and remembered it was very cozy. Uva has a very welcoming ambiance - wood floors, tables, low-light sconces on the wall. I think it's such a great place to duck into off the street... More

It is a small space and very busy, but the girl at the front door was awesome. Waitress could have been a bit friendlier. Drinks were reasonably priced. We ordered a cheese platter, cheese portions were great but could have come with more side items.

They do not take reservations for two so we got there early. Before 7pm they do wine flights which was good. The appetizers were good. The beet gnocchi my favorite! The tiramusi delicious.

Very cute place, nice environment. I like the decoration and it is very cozy for couples and all. Weirdly enough, I visited it on a Tuesday night at 9pm and the place was completely full - which means, not very private or calm.. So many people shouting and talking loudly that it got to my nerves. The food is very... More

We had a great late Saturday lunch here after gallery hopping on Madison Avenue. The menu is wide and varied and can accommodate light eaters and folks who are very hungry. A standout was the batuta de pollo- a chicken breast pounded flat and sauteed in olive oil with some delicious side veggies. Wine prices are realistic and encourage patrons... More

Place was hopping today. Came here for post Chanukah celebration brunch for party of 10 people. Giving the place was packed, the service was good. Food delicious and staff friendly. Definitely coming back next year for family celebration. I totally understand why this place was so crowded. Worth it!

Uva is a beautiful restaurant located in the UES of NYC. As soon as you walk through the door, you're treated with such respect. The customer service is amazing. Every employee had a smile on their faces while the places was jam packed. It seems like they all really enjoy working there. The wine and food are outstanding. We had... More

This restaurant was a quaint classy establishment. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I had the prosciutto and mozzarella ravioli, while my girlfriend had the chicken and vegetables dish. Both of us enjoyed our meals and would order the dishes again. The atmosphere was romantic as their lights are low and tables are lit by candlelight. Overall... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighbourhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighbourhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighbourhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
